withNme is the current musical project of singer/songwriter Jamie Salazar. Based out of Redlands California, Salazar is the sole member of withNme and not only writes and performs the tracks but records, mixes and masters them as well. While the influence of New Wave, Post Punk and Goth bands of the 1970's and 1980's can be heard throughout the music, Salazar has a unique, alternative musical point of view and explores a wide range of emotions and tempos. Comparable artists to withNme are Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, Echo and the Bunnymen and The Cure. The philosophical concept of the project is the sound of the individual tapping into the universe. The idea that if you look within yourself, you will find that you are just as much a part of the universe as the universe is a part of you. The call and answer are heard as synthesizers, electronic drum beats, experimental guitar tones and bass are all layered together in a nostalgic crunch of ear candy. withNme is a truly singular listening experience for anyone interested in hearing a sonic search for balance, inspiration and self-fulfillment.
